MoM

Today I just want to talk...about being a mom. I want to be a mom so badly. I want to stay at home all day with my children and chase them around. I want to get up in the morning to feed them breakfast. I want to sit by their bedside and rub their back when they don't feel good. I want to pick out outfits and do their hair. I want to be tired every second of the day. I want to have a reason to be home. I want teach them about the good things in life. I want to be there to catch them when they fall. I want to stress over if I am being a good mom or not. I just want to be a Mom. Never did I think it would be hard for me to achieve this in my life. When I first got married I wanted to wait a while to have kids...and I am glad I did. But I can't help but think. What if I hadn't...would it be the same? It is astonishing how many people in life go through these types of trials. But me, I just never thought that. Not that I am any better, I just never thought that. I know trails are placed in front of us for a reason. Can I see the light? Hopefully soon.

Thanksgiving

Our FEAST!
Let me tell you how everything was...delicious. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. I just love cooking. We had mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, yams suffle & homemade stuffing made by Justin's mom. Corn, Glazed carrots, homemade cranberry sauce, rolls, olives, Yummy jello, and of course TURKEY. Everything turned out great although we ate an hour later than planned...

It was fun hosting Thanksgiving this year, even though I missed being with my family. We are thankful to Justin's family to make out here and spend a fun weekend with us. The day after Thanksgiving is a big deal in Vernal. They have this celebration called Holly days. The provide all sorts of free entertainment all day. We walked around main street for a while and saw a magic show, petted a camel that you could ride. We saw a mime and a puppet show, got free churros and cotton candy, and went ice skating. There was lots of other stuff you could do too. At the end of the night they lite off a great fireworks display. We had the perfect spot from our front porch. I love relaxing weekends, it was just what I needed. I am so thankful for all the blessing I have in my life. There is always more we could want, but for now my needs are met, and thats a lot more than most people have right now, and for that, I am grateful.

We went Fishin

Welcome to Matt Warner Reservoir. The location isn't all that pretty, but the fishing was good!

All of the catches we kept at the end of the day. We only kept 4, but we landed 8. Justin 4, me 3. Although in my defense, I caught two others but they got away. This had to be the most fun I have had fishing. If you know me, you know I get bored fishing very fast, but we were only fishing for 2 hours and caught that many, so I didn't have a chance to get bored. This spot is definitely worth the 50 min drive.

I love this picture of Mocha standing in the wind, some times we let him off his lease to roam around, but since he blended so well into the surroundings and that there were cows EVERYwhere, we found a stake and just staked him to the ground as we fished.he really isn't much of an outdoorsy dog, he would of rather of been sleeping in the car LOL.

My big fish 14in, I was proud!!

After my Big catch.
Our self portrait. It didn't turn out that great, but I love this picture. It makes me laugh.

It was a fun Saturday for us to get away from everything and just have fun together. Justin and I see each other all day everyday, but it felt different to actually do something together besides work. Love ya Hon, and thanks for teaching me how to cast better, made all the difference!

Puke of a blog

This is a puke of a blog because I am giving you tons of different stuff at once. This pretty much sums up our summer pretty badly. I am terrible at taking photos and we did a lot more stuff then shown here. Due to the fact most of my summer was recovering from surgery, dealing with anxiety, and working tons, it has gone by really fast. Justin worked hard on the yard, and spent a lot of time on that, and am happy with the results, but there is still more to do. The garden was not the biggest success this year, I am sure next year will be better though. We have spent four great years together that have flown by fast. Things are content for now, but with the roller coaster I have been on lately, content is good.

Our happy 4 year anniversary photos. We went out to eat at this good Mexican restaurant

Isn't he such a HOTTIE!

We were looking out the window and saw this in our neighbors back yard. We have never seen their dog before, and holy cow, it is huge!

here is us us camping at our ward camping out up at Iron Springs. It was a fun overnight trip. I made chili for the chili contest, but I did not win. :( A lot of people told me that they liked mine the best, so I will take it as a win.

Smoke in Justin's eyes. Follows Beauty right?

Cool Lean-to that was there and our sweet tent. When you live in a trailer for 7 months- tents are kinda fun. (AHHHH)

Cooking some bacon over the fire. Great way to have bacon while camping.

More Random Pictures

One lazy afternoon I found Mocha just lounging underneath the table. He used to do this a lot in our old house. I have not seen him do it much since. I thought he looked pretty cute under there so I snapped a picture. Some people take pictures of the kids and family, I take pictures of my dog. I know I'm pathetic.

I went out to my garden to pick some lettuce. As I was cleaning it I found this squiggly little guy. It reminded me of the movie Bug's Life. Too bad he will never be a "beautiful butterfly"

And this photo is just sweet. I often catch Mocha and Justin cuddling our sleeping together. Mocha will not usually come over to me and lay down, but he does to Justin all the time. I wish I took a photo of those two sleeping on Sunday. It was priceless.

Still to come...pictures of the yard, and camping! Whahoo.

Random Stuff

I know it has been awhile since I have blogged. here are just some random photos of what has been going on lately. (pictures of the yard are to come soon)

Justin got this toy, and now has the engine torn apart in our garage. Someday I'll be able to park in there again.

Beautiful yellow squash grown right in my own back yard. We ate it and it was good.

Cute picture of Mocha and the cute new rug I got for my living room.

Roasting some marsh mellows in our backyard. First time we have used our fire pit. It was way fun! And the smores were yummy!

Caught him! Justin and I were in the living room watching a movie and I kept hearing this noise. Finally I got up and went to the office. I found Mocha like this getting into my purse! he loves getting into my purse. He likes to chew up my chap stick, lotion, and I always have a granola bar in there. One time he ate the entire granola bar. What a stinker. Her knew he was in trouble when I came in, but could get out of the purse. Haha, silly dog.
